Been to Buckhorn steakhouse twice now and my review will be based on the second time. Located in Winters, this restaurant is a staple of the small town and has been there for a very long time. Love the ambiance of the restaurant and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. I wish I could remember the staff that was serving us this last time because he was great and deserves so much kudos as to how great our experience was. If I see him the next time I go back, I'll definitely get his name and update this review. We went to Buckhorn to celebrate mine and my sisters birthdays.
Our family ordered the shareable tomahawk ribeye steaks. They are available only on Fridays and Saturdays. I believe they will make exceptions on weekdays but you have to call in advance. We also ordered the calamari appetizer which was tasty. The surprise of the evening was their cream of mushroom soup! Boy was that thing good! I really have only positive things to say about our experience and will most definitely be coming back for more steaks and the cream of mushroom soup if it's available. -

I have always wanted to go to the original Buckhorn location, and it was good!
The service had a little to be desired, but it was a Monday night, so I know the A-squad probably wasn't working.
All the food was very tasty. I had a steak sandwich with mushroom soup. I really enjoyed both, as well as the hot bread they serve alongside it. -

The absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! It took over 40 minutes to receive our appetizer and over an hour to receive our dinner. When we finally receive our steak and mashed potatoes it was cold, I sent it back and they made it over . We asked for more water it took 25 minutes for our server to get us more water. There were some young chicks sitting behind us and our waiter was all over them never asked us if we needed anything.
All the servers seemed to be more interested in who was walking by outside than waiting on their tables. Even though the food looks good on their reviews, their customer service THROWS out the great food experience. OH and don't even think about sitting outside the WORST customer service.
What's makes it WORST, it was a Friday night and the restaurant wasn't even busy -

I took my wife and my kids to the buckhorn for dinner/ my wife's birthday on 9/25/19. Our waitress was Jennifer N and I must say it was the best experience we ever have had in our 14 years of dining out. She was very friendly and prompt with making sure that our meal was up to buckhorn standards and simply was very professional in every way. Buckhorn is lucky to have such a nice waitress, please pass this along. We will definitely be returning.

Food is always amazing, we come here almost every Saturday for the mushroom soup, best soup I've had anywhere and I don't even like mushroom that much!
The bread is also great and obviously the steaks. If they dont get your steak done right dont worry they will make it right and serve you a different one in a few minutes. Service is always great!
